Winscombe AFC

Welcome to Winscombe Football Club’s web site.

Winscombe AFC is a family orientated F A Charter Standard Club.  We run teams for both boys and girls, men and ladies.

For the boys and men we have teams from Under 6 to Under 18 and have 3 senior Teams.

This season I am delighted that we now have an excellent set up for girls’ and ladies’ football.  This is a real boost for both the Club and the local community as a whole.

Our aim is to support and develop the players to play at the highest standard of football as possible.  Our facilities include a floodlit main pitch and floodlit training area.

We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for our players and spectators.  The FA Respect Code of Conduct for players, managers and parents/spectators has been adopted at all levels throughout the Club to support this.  Any breach of this code is dealt with by the Management Committee according to FA guidelines.

We support fully the F A Child Protection Policy statement.

If you require any further information about the Club please do not hesitate to contact any member of the Committee who will be very pleased to answer any questions that you may have.  Full details of each team, including contact points, can be found under each Team page.

Thank you for visiting our Web site.  We hope that you find it useful.

Tough Ten Run 2010

Guy Bradford and Neil Andow both trained hard to run again this year for the Club. Guy unfortunately was unable to run on the day as having done a great deal of training he injured his knee shortly before the race. His fellow runner Neil Andow did race and came 40th out of 1,200 runners which was a great achievement!! The sponsorship for the run raised £430, so a big thank you to both Guy and Neil for the hard work it takes to participate in this event and for the great contribution to Club funds.

Dear Footballing Parents and Supporters,

In an ongoing effort to raise money for our football club we have decided to hold a second hand Sports Goods Sale, in the New Year.  We are looking for any sporting goods ie football, cricket, rugby kits and boots, gloves etc and any racquet sports goods that you would be happy to donate to the Club for fund raising.  When we have enough goods we will advise you as to the date and time of the sale.   The goods need to be in a very good condition, clean and easily saleable (not jumble sale material!)
Please let your Team Manager have any goods that would be suitable over the next couple of months.

Many thanks
WINSCOMBE AFC
